  • Registration is open for the second annual Miles for Kyle 5K Run/Walk, taking place at on Sept. 11 at 7:45 a.m. Early registration for adults cost $25, $5 for children, with proceeds going to the Kyle Quinn Memorial Scholarship.
  • It's going to be a hot one again today. Temperatures will likely be in the 90s with a chance of thunderstorms.
  • has more details regarding the horrific car crash and house fire that occurred early Tuesday morning. Family and friends of the two victims, Laura Stevens and Wayne Foulke, gathered at the scene of the accident last night to mourn their deaths.
  • At least eight people are injured after part of the roof collapsed at a soccer stadium in the Netherlands Thursday, local officials have told CNN. Those injured are thought to be construction workers, Moniek Eberhard in the mayor's office for the town of Enshede said. Building work was being carried out on the roof above the stands at the FC Twente soccer club's De Grolsch Veste stadium.
