What's going on around town today.

  • Another community build for Warminster's Safetytown is scheduled for Sunday, July 10, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at . All members of the community are encouraged to help get the new area ready in time for Warminster Day on Sept. 10.
  • Harrigan's Pub on County Line Road will host a live broadcast of classic rock from 102.9 WMGK, featuring DJ Andre Gardner today, from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Looks like it's going to be another warm weekend with scattered thunderstorms. The highs will be in the mid to upper 80s through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
  • Despite a good chance of thunderstorms, Atlantis is fueled up and ready to blast off Friday morning in the final mission of America's 30-year space shuttle program, CNN reports. The very last launch for a space shuttle is set for 11:26 a.m. ET.
  • On this day, July 8, 1889, the first issue of The Wall Street Journal is published.
