  • Warminster Rotary Club awarded scholarships to graduating seniors during a luncheon on May 17. Jamie Ellis from Archbishop Wood, Amy Donahue from William Tennent and Brandon Miller from the Middle Bucks Institute of Technology each received $1,000.
  • A young Bucks County woman fell from a cliff at Tyler State Park Monday afternoon and had to be pulled 75 feet up a cliff to be rescued, NorthamptonPatch . The woman, a 23-year-old Levittown resident, was climbing up a cliff near the Neshaminy Creek dam when she fell and suffered injuries, according to Northampton Fire Chief Adam Selisker.
  • The Academy of Natural Sciences has announced it will offer free admission all summer for active-duty military personnel and their families, Upper SouthamptonPatch . From now through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, active-duty service members and up to five family members will be admitted free.
  • Space shuttle Endeavour and its six astronauts returned to Earth on Wednesday, closing out the next-to-last mission in NASA's 30-year program with a safe middle-of-the-night landing, CBS reports.
  • On this day, June 1, 1980, 24-hour cable news channel CNN begins broadcasting.
