What's going on around town today.

  • Tonight's your chance to say farewell to Leary Elementary before it closes on Friday. Members of the community and former students will have an opportunity to walk the halls one last time, from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Three renowned and architecturally distinct structures in the Bryn Athyn Historic District, all in exquisite settings, will be illuminated during an evening event June 15 that offers the public free access to explore the sites, Lower MorelandPatch . Bryn Athyn Cathedral, Cairnwood Estate, and Glencairn Museum, part of the district designated a National Historic Landmark in October 2008, will be featured during “Landmarks in Lights: A Celebration of Faith” from 8 to 11 p.m. All are located on Cathedral Road in the borough of Bryn Athyn.
  • It's going to be nice out today. According toWeather.com, it will be mostly sunny with a high of 81 degrees. It's going to be mostly clear over night with a low of 61 degrees.
  • Pakistan's intelligence agency has arrested several people who helped the CIA in the runup to the raid by U.S. special forces that killed Osama bin Laden, including one person who owned a safehouse rented to the CIA, sources familiar with the arrests told CNN Wednesday.
  • On this day, June 15, 1864, Arlington National Cemetary is established when Secretary of War Edwin Stanton sets aside 200 acres of land surrounding Arlington Mansion for use as a U.S. military cemetary.
