What's going on around town today.

  • Rev. Corey Brooks starts a four-month walk from New York City to Los Angeles today that he hopes will raise awareness of violence in his hometown of Chicago. His trek will include a walk through Philadelphia, stopping at the Warminster on County Line Road either Sunday or Monday.
  • The Warminster Communication Advisory Board meets tonight at the township building at 5:30 p.m.
  • A chance for more rain today, with a high near 69, acoording to the National Weather Service.
  • Jury selection in the trial of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State assistant football coach charged with child rape, is scheduled to start today, CNN reports. A judge last week denied his attorneys' latest bid for a delay, allowing the case to move forward.
  • On this day, June 5, 1977, the Apple II, one of the first personal computers, goes on sale.
