  • Centennial School District is holding public hearings for the closing of and elementary schools. The public is invited to make any final comments to the school administration, Longstreth at 6 p.m. and Stackpole at 6:30 p.m.
  • boys varsity tennis team hosts a 3:45 p.m. match against Archbishop Ryan High School.
  • Foggy in the morning, then cloudy with a high near 71, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The national average price for a gallon of gasoline rose for the ninth straight day on Sunday to $3.838, CNN reports. That is now only about 6.7 percent below the record high of $4.11 from July 2008. The average price rose by three-tenths of a penny, according to the survey of gas stations conducted for the motorist group AAA. Gas prices are now up more than 17 percent this year.
  • On this day, March 19, 1966, Texas Western becomes the first college basketball team to win the Final Four with an all-black starting lineup.
