  • The National Weather Service forecasts a full day of showers and possible thunderstorms. The temperature could reach 56 today and go down to 40 tonight.

  • AT&T is purchasing T Mobile USA for $39 billion in cash and stock. T Mobile’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom will refocus its efforts on the European market and pay down the $16 billion in debt T Mobile still owes.
  • Military attacks on Libya have struck within Moammar Gadhafi's compound on Sunday, ABC News reports. According to the network, a United Nations-backed no-fly zone is being enforced by the U.S., British and French aircraft from Tripoli to Benghazi and the top third of the country. Spain, Belgium, Denmark, and Qatar have also joined the coalition.
  • The AP reports that operators evacuated workers from Japan's tsunami-damaged Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant Monday after gray smoke rose from one of its reactor units.
