Five Things for March 23

What's going on around town today.

  • The Warminster Police Department will hold a showing at the township meeting room at 401 Gibson Ave. on March 26 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. of recovered property that had been stolen from automobiles. These items were taken between September 2010 to December 2010 from automobiles in the Warrington and Warminster area. Anyone attending must have photo ID and positively ID the property through serial Numbers, receipts, photos, police reports, etc.
  • Archbishop Wood’s girls basketball team is two wins away from a state championship. They play Penn Charter at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s University.
  • An early registration fee of $75 for the Warminster Pioneers football and cheerleading teams is available until April 4. After that, the cost for one child is $125, two children $225 and three children $300. Flag football, cheerleading, 90 lb. and 105 lb. players cost $100 after April 4.
  • The Mega Millions jackpot has gone up to $305 million, one of the largest jackpots in history. The next drawing is Friday.
  • Film legend Elizabeth Taylor has passed away. She died Wednesday morning at Ceedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure.
