What's going on around town today.

  • You can purchase Tricentennial Passports for $1 to help celebrate Warminster’s 300 birthday. Take the passport to any of the Warminster Tricentennial events that you attend and to any of the Warminster places listed on the back of the passport for validation. Participating restaurants have agreed to offer a 10% discount on all food purchases when you present your passport. You can visit one restaurant a month, and the discount is only valid for your first visit to any of the participating restaurants.
  • Registration is open for William Tennent’s girls volleyball camp. The first week, for girls entering sixth through ninth grades, takes place July 18-July 22 at Log College. The cost is $100, with a $50 discount for other family members. The second week, for girls entering eight and ninth grades, takes place Aug. 8-12 at William Tennent. The cost is also $100, with a $50 discount for family members. If the athlete is attending both camps, there is a $50 discount off the second week.
  • The FBI has asked the public for help cracking a code connected to a homicide in Missouri, MSNBC reports. The FBI told the network that two encrypted notes were found in homicide victim Ricky McCormick’s pants, and their code crackers haven't been able to figure out what the notes mean.
  • NATO has taken over air operations in Libya, CNN reports. The NATO mission -- called Operation Unified Protector-- includes an arms embargo, a no-fly zone and "actions to protect civilians and civilian centers," the alliance told the news network.
  • On this day, March 31, 1985: The World Wrestling Federation holds its first Wrestlemania at Madison Square Garden in New York.
