Get Out Weekend Planner

A pumpkin carving contest in Warminster and a murder mystery in Hatboro are part of this weekend's activities.

Fall weather is in full effect for October’s second weekend. We’ve scoured our events calendars for some favorite events to add to the Get Out Weekend Planner. Your job? Pick an event – or more than one event – and have a good time!

Where/When: Saturday at 7 p.m. at  in Warminster.

Why go: You can have your carved pumpkin judged in these categories – scariest, funniest, whimsical, sporty or you can create your own category.

Why go: Great exercise and a great cause!

Cost: $20 Adults $10 teens $5 kids includes T-shirt and light refreshments

 

Where/When: Friday (duh!) starting at 6 p.m. in Downtown Doylestown.

Why go: There’s something for everyone – really. The will host local author Lori Pescatore at 7 p.m.; she’ll be signing copies of her new book, Earth Blend. Too quiet? Head over to for a free concert featuring Four The Day. Check out the complete schedule for all the offerings.

Why go: The Agatha Christie classic will keep you guessing – a great night of theater.

Cost:  Friday, $12; there is also a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. and those tickets are $10

 

Where/When:  Sunday, starting at 4:30 p.m., 2955 Edge Hill Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA

Why go: Kick back and relax while the band plays onstage. Bring your own blanket, chair and picnic basket. Twilight hayrides available!
