  • Lance Armstrong won't be allowed to compete in international Ironman triathlon contests while he's under investigation for doping, CNN reports. The ruling bars him from the Ironman France competition scheduled for June 24 in Nice, the World Triathlon Corporation said.
  • On this day, June 15, 1864, Arlington National Cemetery is established when 200 acres around Arlington Mansion are officially set aside as a military cemetery by U.S. Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton.
