Safely Dispose of Unwanted Medications
While you are finishing up your spring cleaning, don't forget about your medicine cabinet—get rid of all your unused/unwanted/expired prescription medications Saturday during National Drug Take Back Day.
Each year the Drug Enforcement Administration sponsors a nationwide “Drug Take Back Day,” where citizens are invited to bring unused, unwanted and/or expired prescription medications to a predetermined drop off point for proper disposal.
"The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications," the DEA website states.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, residents can drop off unwanted prescription medications for safe disposal at various locations.

If you can’t make it out on Saturday there is no need to panic. Warminster Township is lucky enough to have a permanent location to safety dispose of unwanted medications 365 days a year.
Residents can safely dispose of their unused or unwanted prescription drugs in the drop-off box located in the lobby of the Warminster Township Police Station 365 days of the year.
Township Supervisor Dan McPhillips said the prescription drop-off box was installed just about a year ago and it has proven to be a very successful program for the township.
