Soak Up History at Germantown's Second Saturday
Explore historic Germantown and learn about a Revolutionary War battle, the Underground Railroad and more.
Warminster offers plenty of summer fun, but sometimes the lure of Philadelphia beckons—and our Summer in the City feature can help guide you to the fun.
If you feel like venturing out a little farther from home, check here for a weekly suggestion of something fun or interesting to do in the City of Brotherly Love. Whether it's a restaurant to try, a festival to attend or special museum exhibits, we'll feature something different every Thursday.
This Saturday, while you're soaking up the last few weeks of summer, soak up some history in historic Germantown.

At the second Saturday event, people can visit the site of the only Revolutionary War battle fought in Philadelphia, the Johnson House, which is the site of an Underground Railroad station, and hear stories from other historic sites. Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion, Hood Cemetery and LaSalle Art Museum are some of the other historic attractions.
