Warminster Neighborhoods Begin Cleaning Up

Downed trees and branches wreaked havoc for homes throughout the township.

As the wind and rain clears from last night's storm, homeowners throughout Warminster are dealing with the aftermath.

Police have blocked off County Line Road between Madison and Park avenues because an electrical pole has tilted and is in danger of falling. The road will be cleared once the pole has been secured.

The Speedway section of the township was hit pretty hard. A tree outside Mike Deluca's home on Ivy broke in half at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night and brought down some telephone wire before landing in his front yard, damaging his car and house. Amazingly, he says he never lost power to his home.

Another downed tree lays across Olive St. between Madison and Park avenues. But the worst so far is a house at the corner of Sunnemeade and Hawthorne, which was severely damaged when a tree in the front yard cracked near the base of the trunk and fell directly on the roof.

We will upload more neighborhood pictures as they come in. If you have any of your own, post them to this article.
