William Tennent Hosts Supply Auction Before Demolition Begins
Great deals were offered on everything from school supplies to buses.
This weekend clinched the end of with an auction of surplus school supplies and equipment.
Of the many items auctioned, two school buses were purchased by Ed Cassidy of New Jersey for $1,500 each. They will be either resold whole or for parts.
Martin Hoger and Mike Breslin of Southampton are opening a new restaurant in a few months and were searching for kitchen equipment. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, most of the kitchen items were gone.

There were slicers, sinks, cabinets, refrigerators, tables, warmers and more. Some even purchased metal items for scrap. You could hear things being sawed into pieces throughout the building.
Other deals people cashed in on were a Whirlpool dishwasher for $10, science tables for $1 each, and a $5 microwave that nobody wanted.

Bill Gretton, the school's assistant superintendent said the school will be completely demolished by early spring.
Gretton said the building will be closed next week and anything not sold at the auction will become property of the demolition company.
Joanne Macarro and her daughter, Melissa, of Macarro Auction Company arrived at 7 a.m. to begin the day's long event. By early afternoon they said more than 100 people had already arrived.
Buyers have a few days to pick up their items.
