$2,000.00 Check Presentation to "Kisses for Kyle" Foundation at Halftime of the Tennent Powder Puff Game

The William Tennent
Athletic Council will present a check for $2000.00

to the “Kisses for Kyle” Foundation at halftime of the Powder puff game at

William Tennent High School. The Powder Puff game will feature 72 female

athletes representing the junior and senior classes as well as two teams of

male cheerleaders.

The Athletic Council is an organization
that supports the athletics program at Tennent. The officers this year are
Brian Stone, President, Hannah Lynes, Vice President, Amber Doran, Secretary,
and Jennifer Ewald, Treasurer. Shawn Wirtshafter and Eric Goldsman are the
faculty advisors and will present the check.

The Tennent
faculty and staff are also getting into the game by contributing to the “Kisses
for Kyle” foundation. The school staff is raising money during a November
“Dress Down” Day at William Tennent High School. “Dress Down” Days were created
in the Centennial School District to allow school staff the opportunity to
dress more casual in exchange for a cash donation for a charity.

In addition to the Athletic Council
responsibilities of organizing homecoming festivities and powder puff football,
they provide flowers for all of the sports senior appreciation festivities.  They are in charge of Senior Crowns, in which one senior
from each athletic team is awarded a trophy for outstanding leadership and
effort during the season.  Finally, the Athletic Council supports the
athletics program by donating money each year to the department to help
purchase big ticket items.  During recent years, they have purchased a new

basketball scoreboard, TV equipment for the gym and pool areas, pennants for
the gymnasium, a new swim timer system and a new mascot costume.

The Kisses for
Kyle Foundation is dedicated to helping families residing in the Delaware
Valley region who are fighting childhood cancer. From the diagnosis through the
