2nd Annual Officer Brad Fox 5K Run/ 1K Walk

The 2nd Annual
Officer Brad Fox 5K Run/ 1K Walk will take place at Warminster Community Park on April 5, 2014 to honor the legacy of Warminster native Brad Fox, who was killed in the line of duty with the Plymouth Township Police Department. All
proceeds from this event will be donated to the Fox family, to the Brad Fox
Scholarship Fund, the Plymouth Township Police Department K-9 Unit, and the Warminster Township Police Department K-9 Unit.

Registration is now open for the 5K Run and 1K Walk, and a full schedule of events are planned for the entire family, including a demonstration by FOX, the newest member of the Plymouth Township Police Department K-9 Unit. FOX is named for Officer Fox, who graduated from William Tennent High School, served two tours of duty in Iraq before joining the Plymouth Township Police Department. When he was killed in pursuit of a suspect, Officer Fox left behind an infant daughter and a pregnant wife; Brad Jr. was born in March 2013. The Officer Brad Fox 5K Foundation is actively seeking additional sponsors to support this event.“Brad’s impact on our community continues to

grow and we are honored to be able to show his family that his sacrifice, and

theirs, will never be forgotten,” Event Coordinator Darren Meehan said. “We’re

humbled by the support we’ve received from the Warminster community of

businesses and neighborhoods and those in the surrounding areas as we work to

honor Brad, and this year’s event will continue to honor his legacy and his

impact on our community.”

Runners ($30) and walkers ($20) can find registration information at www.officerbradfox5k.com. There will be no on-site registration the day of the event, April 5, 2014. The 5K starts at 10 AM, and the 1K starts shortly thereafter. The Brad Fox Scholarship Fund will be awarded annually to one graduating senior from William Tennent High School who is studying Criminal Justice. The Plymouth Township Police Department K-9 Unit is currently raising funds to build their force, which has seen two of their K-9 officers leave the force in the recent past.
