Craven Hall's Holiday Open House

The
Craven Hall Historical Society will hold a special Holiday Open House on
Sunday, December 8th from 12 noon until 4:00PM.

Interpreters in period costumes will conduct tours of the
historic building, which will be decorated in full holiday splendor.   Bring the young ones to make holiday cards
and decorate graham cracker houses and cookies.   Complimentary hot mulled cider from an early
colonial recipe will be served and Brunswick stew, beef barbeque and other
scrumptious sweets will be available for purchase.   While reservations are not required, we ask
that you contact Craven Hall if you plan on bringing children so can be sure we
have ample craft supplies.  Admission to
the Open House is complimentary. Donations are always graciously accepted.

Historic Craven Hall is called the
best example of Greek revival architecture in mid-Bucks County.  The Craven Hall Historical Society owns this
beautiful home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Originally constructed around 1726, the
Vansants added a front section during the 1840’s.  The Vansants and their Craven relatives were
both prominent local families.  Craven
Hall is located at the corner of Street and Newtown Roads in Warminster,
PA.  It is also the home of the John
Fitch Steamboat Museum, which is open to the public the second Sunday of the
month (as is Craven Hall).
