Crypt Kicker 5K and Kids Mile Fun Run (part of the Warminster Full Moon Series)

What are the Crypt Kicker 5K and Kids Mile Fun Run?
The Crypt Kicker 5K is the final race of the 2013 Warminster Full Moon 5K Series and has a Halloween theme. The Warminster Full Moon Series is comprised of three themed 5K (3.11 mile) footraces conducted in Warminster Community Park, on what is arguably the flattest, fastest, most spectator friendly footrace in all of Bucks County.

What happens at the Crypt Kicker 5k and the Kids Mile Fun Run?
The Crypt Kicker 5K will begin at 10:00am and Kids Mile Fun Run will be held at 10:45am on Sunday, October 13th 2013.  Runners are encouraged to come (and run) in Halloween costumes and continue the festivities at the post-race celebration at Tony’s Place Bar and Grille in Ivyland, PA. 

Is there a charity partner for the race?
The charity partner for the Crypt Kicker 5K and Kids Mile Fun Run is the Association for Conductive Education and Related Services, Inc. (ACERS, Inc.).  ACERS is a non-profit association founded by parents and professionals to provide and promote Conductive Education (CE) services to individuals with motor disabilities and their families.  ACERS, Inc. has been offering its programs in NJ for over 10 years and now has programs in PA and NY.* 

Who benefits?
Conductive Education benefits individuals with physical disabilities (including traumatic brain injury) such as:
·         Cerebral Palsy (CP)
·         Spina Bifida
·         Stroke
·         Parkinson’s disease
·         Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
·         and other neuromuscular disorders 

What is Conductive Education?
Conductive Education is a method of education designed for children and adults that have neurological impairment that effects overall motor control.  The majority of children that are receiving Conductive Education (CE) have Cerebral Palsy, but it can also help other individuals who have conditions where motor control function is impaired.
