Craven Hall will hold a special presentation during their next open house

“CURES IN THE WOODS AND GARDENS…..PURGES, POULTICES & PORTIONS”

On Sunday, March 11th, The Craven Hall Historical Society, Inc. will present a special program on colonial herbal recipes used by early settlers to treat various ailments.

Instead of making an appointment with the local doctor or dentist, colonial families sought out natural remedies in everyday places such as gardens or backyards.
