Paint for a Cause and Help Wounded Warriors

A fundraiser at the Uncorked Artist in North Wales will benefit Operation Ward 57's Honor & Courage program, which helps wounded soldiers overcome their injuries mentally and physically.

Grab some paintbrushes and canvas next week and help raise money for an important organization that provides financial and emotional support for wounded soldiers.

The Uncorked Artist hosts a FUNdraiser painting party at 7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 9 at its second location, on Main Street in North Wales. The studio offers a fun atmosphere for even the most amateur of artists to meet, talk, munch on snacks, sip some wine and create a work of art.

The subject on Thursday will be a patriotic Splatter Flag, honoring the courageous men and women who continue to fight overseas in the Middle East. Money raised from registration fees and a raffle of five paintings created by in-house artists will benefit Operation Ward 57's Honor & Courage organization.

The program, managed by Warminster's Heather Sliwinski, assigns wounded veterans as mentors and caseworkers to soldiers that continue to struggle mentally and physically with their injuries. The shared experiences creates a unique and unbreakable bond between the soldiers.

The cost to attend is $35. Register online to guarantee a spot at the party. If guests choose not to pay online, the registration still needs to be completed. An invoice can be printed out and presented at the door with payment.
