Reunion Show Benefits Cancer Support Group
The Heartbeats will reunite for a show in Philadelphia that will benefit a cancer support organization recently formed by the merger of Gilda's Club Delaware Valley and the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia.
The Heartbeats, a top area dance band, will be donating net proceeds from their “2014 Friends & Family Reunion” concert to the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia (CSCGP) to benefit families affected by breast cancer.
“We’re blown away by The Heartbeats’ generosity,” said Kelly Harris, CEO of CSCGP. “CSCGP provides all our services at no cost so there’s never a barrier for anyone who needs them. This means we’re entirely reliant on the generosity of local individuals and organizations to keep our doors open. Fortunately, there are wonderful, wonderful people like The Heartbeats out there who make what we do possible.”
The Reunion concert will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 at The Philadelphia Ballroom (2014 Hornig Road, Philadelphia) from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children (up to age 14) and include a hot and cold buffet, soda, and beer.
