Recycle Unwanted Electronics at Ben Wilson Senior Center Saturday

Purge all of your unused and unwanted electronics during a recycling event this weekend in Warminster.

We all have those unused electronic gadgets lurking in the back of the closet or on that shelf in the garage.

And with the recent restrictions on what you can take out to the curb, these piles may be growing at an alarming rate.

Not to worry—this weekend you can purge your home of these unwanted items during an electronics recycling event at the Ben Wilson Senior Center.

"[With a few exceptions], we are taking almost anything that has a plug," said Linda Kester, senior center manager.

Kester said the event is being run in conjunction with e-waste recycling company EcoVanta. She said EcoVanta will sanitize any software and personal information from devices and then they will disassemble and recycle the items into the commodities that they are comprised of— metals, plastics, ect.

Kester said if you are unable to bring your items over during the scheduled time, you can bring them to the center prior to the event.
