An introduction...

I wanted to start by posting a blog introducing myself to the community. I have lived in the Warminster area almost my entire life. I have always loved this are because it offers an eclectic mix of urban, suburban and even rural landscapes all within a short distance of one another. I went to grade school at the soon-to-be-defunct Leary Elementary, middle school at Log and graduated from William Tennent. I am now raising my own children in this area, though we now live in Warrington, right on the border of Warminster.

Currently, I am studying Psychology at Penn State University in Abington. I already have one degree in Psychology and I look forward to continuing my education all the way up to the doctorate level. Balancing school, work and parenting hasn't always been easy but I've learned a lot about myself and life along this journey. I've read books and been exposed to ideas and ways of thinking that have made me a better, happier person. I want to share my ideas, insights, hard-learned lessons, and positive thoughts with my community. I have a genuine desire to help the world around and in this process I would love to start an advice column in which I can provide comforting words of wisdom to those who just need an ear to listen. I hope this will be the beginning of a long relationship with my community in which I can fully express all my humanitarian aspirations.

I would love to hear from you. Ask me about relationships, parenting of young children, parenting of children with behavioral issues, going back to college as an adult, getting help when times are tough from local organizations, the list goes on. I have gained a lot of valuable knowledge over the years that I would love to share with others. If I do not have an answer readily available, I would love to help you find the help you need. I do not claim to be an expert in all areas, but I know how to find the experts you may need. Ask me something, let's share a laugh along the way.
