School rules

As a parent we try to alleviate specific issues in our children’s lives so they are able to grow in a comfortable environment of the school, however all who actually work/volunteer at the schools also need to do their parts.

As not only a parent who has already been that route, and now a grandparent going that route it appalls me when my first grade grandson tells me that there is a bully at recess and the aides are not handling it. Yes I do understand that it’s the beginning of the year, but come on, people, make it right from the beginning.

A situation occurred the second full day, and my grandson was kicked several times, so he told the aides and they made him apologize to the kid who kicked him. Ummm, where the hell is the psychology in that?

As a concerned grandparent, I think it is time the schools evaluate the aides and teach them right from wrong, they are role models for children and if they are too busy chatting and not watching I say get rid of them and give the job to someone who is competent.

If children are to learn, they need people who will show a great example, if an aide teaches a child that they should apologize even though the other child is at fault they are teaching children to be sorry and back down from informing those in charge.

I say get with the program or move on; maybe they would like another adult to kick them so they can apologize……
