Warminster suffering over health care costs

Taxpayers may not be feeling any pain in Warminster’s 2014 budget, but the township supervisors warned that “a potential disaster” is on the horizon because of several “unsustainable” spending issues.

Paramount among them are health care costs, which township Manager Rich Manfredi said will increase by 52 percent next year. Pension contributions are set to eat up $1.4 million of the township’s $2 million reserves in 2014. And the Park & Rec department and library are bleeding money.
