Car Crashes into Side of Tractor Trailer at Bristol and Mearns Roads

Emergency crews extricated three passengers and transported them to Abington Memorial Hospital.

First responders from Warminster, Hartsville, Northampton and Warwick cut open a four-door sedan that had crashed into the side of a tractor trailer Friday afternoon and removed three passengers, who were then transported by ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital.

The accident occurred around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Bristol and Mearns roads. The passenger car was traveling southbound on Mearns Road, collided into the westbound truck, getting stuck underneath the trailer.

All three passengers were out of the vehicle by 1:30 p.m. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
