Car Flips, Bursts Into Flames

An accident at Jacksonville and County Line roads sent several people to the hospital.

Police are not releasing many details on an accident that caused a VW to flip and burst into flames shortly after 9:15 p.m. Friday night.

The accident occured at the intersection of County Line and Jacksonville roads, a Warminster police officer said.

The VW, which had two passengers, lost control after an impact with a silver car. The VW then went several hundred feet, knocking out a cement wall, before flipping and bursting into flames near the side of the Philadelphia Macaroni Company building, witnesses told Patch.

As crews worked to put the car fire out, several police and firemen rendered first aid to the passenger of the VW who has lying in the grass nearby.

Three people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital, police confirmed.

Police said they could not offer many details on the crash due to the fact the accident remains under investigation.

Fire, police and EMS crews from Warminster and Hatboro responded to the wreck.
