First responders from around the area had the blaze under control within 20-30 minutes.

Engines from Warminster and Upper Moreland were first on the scene of a fire at Bucks Landing Apartments Thursday morning. The alert went out around 10 a.m., and the crews extinguished the fire in one of the apartments at building L-1 by 10:18 a.m., according to Lt. Jim Donnelly of the Warminster Police Department.

More assistance arrived from Northampton, Upper Southampton, Horsham, Warwick and Warrington.

One female victim was taken by ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital for burns to the hands and singed hair. Neighbors also saw two children and a few small animals escorted from the rear of the building.

The rest of the families in the 12-unit building will be temporarily displaced due to water damage from the hoses. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The fire marshal will begin investigating once the site has been cleared.
