Fire Companies Respond to Kitchen Fire at Christ's Home

A kitchen fire at the Christ's Home remains under investigation this evening.

Around dinner time, a small kitchen fire broke out in an unoccupied apartment on the campus of .

The fire was containted to the apartment's kitchen area and caused only minor damage the apartment, according Hartsville Fire Company Chief Chris McDonald.

No one was injured in the blaze, which remains under investigation by the Warminster Fire Marshal's office, said the chief. More details were scarce due to the fact the facility caters to juveniles.

The fire was reported around 5:30 p.m. and brought out fire crews from , Ivyland, Warrington, Warwick and .

The large York Road facility houses children and teens who have experienced neglect, abuse or abandonment in their families, according to the non-profit Christian organization's website.
