Garage Fire Damages County Line Home

County Line Road was closed for approximately three hours as firefighters extinguished the flames and cleared out the garage.

Fire crews shut down traffic on County Line Road between Delmont Ave. and Route 611 for more than two-and-a-half hours after responding to a garage fire on the Bucks County side, near Valley Road.

The alarm went out at approximately 3:22 p.m., according to Warminster Fire Department Deputy Chief Pete Croak. Ladder 15 from Horsham Township Fire Department arrived first on the scene, with Warminster and Hartsville fire companies close behind. Croak said the fire was under control within 15 minutes.

Warminster Fire Marshal Joe Velten is investigating the cause of the fire. According to Croak, the homeowner told police that he had an air compressor operating in the garage. He went into the house to take a nap, and woke up when he began to smell smoke.

The flames did not extend to the rest of the home, and no injuries have been reported.
