Hit-and-Run Victim Identified, Police Seek Eyewitnesses

The Northampton police chief told reporters that it's possible that the victim was struck by multiple vehicles Monday morning.

Northampton Police Chief Michael Clark told 6abc.com that the victim of a fatal hit-and-run Monday morning may have been struck by more than one vehicle.

According to the report, Clark told reporters that Christine Witte, 51, may have already been lying on the ground when the driver of a silver Dodge Caravan ran over her at 6:30 a.m. Monday, saying that the damage to the vehicle on the bottom of the minivan.

CBSPhilly.com reports that the driver of the minivan has been questioned by Northampton detectives and released as officers seek more information from possible eyewitnesses of Monday's incident. Officers also hope to gain more information from an autopsy in the next couple days.
