Horsham Man Faces Child Molestation Charges

Police say David Chadwick has been sexually assaulting a 15-year-old Warminster girl for the past three years.

A Horsham man is behind bars for allegedly sexually abusing a 15 year-old girl on dozens of occasions the past three years.

David Chadwick, 74, of Herman Road, has been arrested and charged with several felony counts of indecent assault and unlawful contact of a minor after Warminster Police detectives investigated a report from the Bucks County Children and Youth Services department in mid-July.

According to the arrest affidavit, the girl's mother told police that Chadwick admitted to her that he had been inappropriately touching the girl for approximately three years.

The victim told detectives that the first molestation occurred when she was in the sixth-grade, about 11 or 12 years old. Multiple incidents were alleged to have occurred in Warminster and Horsham over the next three years, according to court records.

Chadwick was arraigned before District Judge Daniel Finello on Aug. 9. Bail has been set at $1 million, but Chadwick could not post it. He was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 5.
