Horsham Teen Suspected of Warminster Burglaries

Residents on Valley Road called the police after witnessing a suspicious man walking around the neighborhood knocking on doors.

A 19-year-old Horsham man has been arrested by Warminster police and charged with several counts of burglary and attempted burglary and has been remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

Authorities responded to calls by residents from the 200 block of Valley Road that a suspicious man had been seen knocking on doors, then going to the rear of the houses.

Responding officers located and identified the man as Caleb Marcus Mumper from Prospect Avenue in Horsham. Mumper was unable to explain his presence in the neighborhood and was arrested for trespassing.

Police say that Mumper admitted during his interview that he was looking for houses with no cars in the driveway and no one home to burglarize. Mumper would knock at the door to ensure no one was home. It is a similar technique used by some of the suspects .

Upon further questioning, police allege that Mumper was responsible for the burglary of a residence on April 19 - also in the 200 block of Valley Road - in which cash was taken. Mumper is also accused of a burglary of a residence on March 29 in the 1500 block of Windmill Road in which jewelry was taken. Both of these burglaries occurred during the day time when no one was home.
