Jury Finds in Favor of Warminster Police

Warminster police officers were found not liable for the 2006 shooting and killing of Sean Sullivan.

After one and-a-half days of deliberation, the jury at the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Courthouse in Philadelphia ruled that three Warminster police officers and one Warrington officer did not use excessive force when they shot and killed Sean Sullivan in the backyard of his Warminster home in March 2006.

Officers Sean Harold, Daniel Leporace, James McCaffrey and Warrington officer John Blanchard were also cleared of causing intentional emotional distress to Sullivan's mother, Carol, and will not be charged with any punitive damages. Warminster Township will also not face any municipal liabilities for its barricade policy.
