Man Turns Violent After Refused Ride to Bristol, Police Say

A Warminster woman was allegedly attacked after she told a friend she would not be able to drive him to Bristol, according to police.

A Warminster woman's good deed ended violently when a friend she was helping out attacked her because she could not give him a ride to Bristol, according to a police statement.

Blair Jones, 29, has been charged with criminal trespass, simple assault and related offenses after allegedly breaking into the woman's home on July 31 and throwing her several times around the house and choking her.

The victim allowed Jones to stay at her home for four days until he had found a permanent place to stay. When she told Jones he had to move out on July 31, he said he had a place in Bristol, according to the affidavit.

According to the report, the woman moved Jones' clothing out of the house and into the driveway, but told him she could not drive him to Bristol because she had to go to work. Police say Jones began to yell and scream at the victim, and she went back inside and locked the doors and windows.

When she came back out to go to work, Jones screamed again at the woman, according to the affidavit. She ran back inside, locked the front door and went into her basement to call 911 from her cell phone, the victim told police.

As she turned on her phone, she heard the sound of someone breaking the front bay window and the screen hitting the ground, according to the statement. Police say Jones came down the stairs and ripped the phone from her hands, then followed the woman as she ran up the stairs.

According to the affidavit, Jones grabbed the victim as she reached the front door and threw her over the coffee table and onto the couch. Police say Jones got on top of the woman and held her by the biceps and said, "You are taking me to Bristol right [expletive] now." She refused again, and Jones grabbed the woman by the throat, according to the police statement.

The victim kicked Jones off her, the statement says, and ran toward the back door. Jones grabbed her again and threw her across the kitchen floor and attempted to choke her again, according to court documents. She got away again and ran into a back bedroom, police say.

The woman attempted to close the door, but Jones forced it open and threw her on the bed and began choking her again, according to the criminal complaint. The victim told Jones she would take him to Bristol, and he released her, police say.

According to the statement, after grabbing her keys and exiting the front door, the woman ran toward a neighbor and told her to call 911. Jones fled the area and was caught by police a short distance from the house.

Officers photographed bruises on the victim's biceps, red marks on her neck, a large scrape on her right shin and a large, swollen bruise on her right forearm, according to the affidavit.

Jones has been confined to Bucks County prison, unable to post 10 percent bond on $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing before District Judge Daniel Finello is scheduled for Sept. 5 at 9:15 a.m.
