Motorcycle Accident Leaves One Dead

The motorcycle and a sedan collided at Street and Newtown roads Sunday night. The operator of the bike was pronounced dead at Abington Memorial Hospital.

A Warminster resident was pronounced dead at Abington Memorial Hospital Sunday night after his motorcycle collided with a car on Street Road, near Newtown Road.

According to a statement by the police, officers responded to the accident at 8:54 p.m. and found Sean Grady face down in the middle of Street Road. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital, but succombed to his injuries while doctors worked on him.

The police department that Street Road would be shut down tomorrow morning between Jacksonville and Centennial roads to reconstruct and investigate the accident.

The second vehicle, a sedan, was located in the intersection and was operated by Aaron Matthews of Upper Southampton. There were three other occupants of the sedan, all children.

The motorcycle and sedan collided in the intersection causing both disabling and catastrophic damage to the vehicles and the occupant of the motorcycle, the release says.

Occupants of the sedan were triaged at the accident scene and did not require any immediate medical attention, according to the department.
