Murder Suspect Transferred to Warminster Police Custody

One of two suspects accused of the stabbing death of Tyrone Newman was charged with criminal homicide and placed in county jail with no possibility for bail.

New Jersey police have transferred to the Warminster and Bucks County detectives the custody of a suspect accused of the murder of 32-year-old at Bucks Landing Apartments in July 2011.

Wint has been in custody since his by New Jersey authorities on July 31, 2011. Wint was found hiding in a closet in a house in Camden New Jersey. At the time, Wint was also wanted for a homicide that occurred in Camden in June 2011.

Wint was extradited and taken back to Bucks County were he was arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Mark D. Douple on homicide and related charges and remanded to the Bucks County prison in without bail. A court date has not been set.

It is alleged that on July 24 at approximately 2:30 am, Wint participated in the killing of Tyrone Newman at Bucks Landing Apartments. Responding officers located Newman lying on the basement level of K building, in front of an apartment with numerous stab wounds to various parts of his body. Newman was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital were he died from his injuries. 

Another suspect, John T. Briggs in New Jersey and is expected to be extradited back to Bucks County.
