Police Release Sketch of Purse Snatching Suspect
The incident occurred last week outside AC Moore on Street Road. The suspect escaped in the direction of Norristown Road, causing a two-hour lockdown of Willow Dale Elementary and Log College Middle School.
The Warminster Police Department has released the sketch of the suspect accused of forcibly taking an elderly woman's purse in the parking lot of AC Moore last week.
The suspect, described as a white male, possibly in his early 20s and wearing a dark jacket, jeans, wool hat and a light beard, took the purse on the morning of Dec. 6 and escaped into the woods along Norristown Road.
Police advised the school district to place the nearby Willow Dale and Log College campuses on lockdown as officers and a K-9 unit searched the area. By 12:45 p.m., the lockdown had been lifted, but the suspect had eluded capture.
