Original story below:

Tyrone Dinkins was released from jail Friday, according to the Bucks County Correctional Facility's website.

Dinkins, a former music teacher at William Tennent High School, stands accused of several counts related to alleged inappropriate incidents with female students.

Dinkins turned himself over to authorities for arraignment after the Bucks County District Attorney's office issued a warrant for his arrest earlier this year.

According to the affidavit, eight female students ranging in age from 16 to 19 years old accused the high school choral director of inappropriate sexual behavior.

Bail was initally set at $800,000, and Dinkins was incarcerated because of inability to pay the 10 percent bond. In late August, Dinkins' bail was reduced to $500,000.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Friday morning in district court in Warminster.

Knowing Dinkins for four years, with my daughter very close to him, I cannot believe the severity of this whole situation. I know he admitted somethings but I have yet to read a quote from him. Lose his job because of this...yes...no question. But, incarceration and such a high bail for inappropriate behavior? Can't help but wonder if the Sandusky story timing helped the hype in this case. Seems very excessive to me. And before anyone jumps all over me, telling me I don't care about victims....I know Dinkins, I know a few of the girls well and I have three daughters, one of which was very close to Dinkins. Never would I want anyone to feel harassed or belittled or worse. My comment only pertains to the severity of the incarceration and bail.

I know Dinkins too, and I know some of those girls that accused him. I can tell you that it is highly likely that they set him up. Dinkins spent the past year trying to make them work to receive a high place in choir. Most of them were so lazy, they didn't try very hard to do well. By the end of the year, most of them did not make it into madrigals or chorale. So they do this to him. They were angry at him because they didn't feel like working. I know these teenage girls. They are all the same.

Cara...I don't care what you know about these girls...Dinkins admitted to what he did. Stop defending this sick man and vilifying the victims.

I think we should wait for trial before coming to any conclusions. Even to weather he admitted to anything or not. Let him have his day in court and let us not make assumptions.
