Vandalism Suspected in Playground Equipment Damage

Warminster police responded to the call of a brush fire at Woodlawn and Leopard roads Tuesday afternoon at 6 p.m. and discovered that a piece of the playground equipment at Meadow Run Park had been damaged by fire.

The fire marshal's office investigated the scene and determined that the hole burned in the middle of a tunnel on the structure was of a suspicious nature.

A representative from the Warminster Parks and Recreation Department said the damage would be covered by insurance, and they are looking to replace the tunnel with a bridge.
