Warminster Girl Testifies Against Accused Rapist

The teenager told a jury that Hakeem Lee sexually assaulted her inside a storage room at the Bucks Landing apartment complex.

The first witness in the trial of accused rapist Hakeem Lee took the stand at the in Doylestown Thursday and told jurors that Lee lured her into a storage room at the Bucks Landing apartment complex and raped her, phillyburbs.com reports.

According to her testimony, the girl, who as 14 years-old at the time, was walking home from Wal-Mart at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3, 2011, when she encountered the 23 year old Lee. They conversed for a little while, when Lee asked if she wanted to have sex. After she declined, they continued walking toward the apartment complex. 

Lee had the girl follow him to what he said was his cousin's apartment, but as soon as he opened the door, she knew something was wrong. She testified that Lee pushed her into the room and forced himself on her.

He has been charged with involuntary sexual intercourse and related crimes and could face more than five years in prison if convicted.

Lee's attorney, Keith McAndrews, questioned the legitimacy of the girl's story because, he said, it had changed several times and that forensic evidence and a doctor's examination do not support the rape accusations.
