Warminster Police Investigating String of Daytime Burglaries

A number of homes along Newtown Road between Street and County Line Roads have been broken into since the beginning of August.

The Warminster Township Police Department is investigating a series of daytime residential burglaries since the beginning of August.

The burglaries are occurring in the neighborhoods located along Newtown Road between Street Road and County Line Road. The most common method of entry is forcing open a rear door or window or breaking the glass. The burglars seem to target gold and silver jewelry and small electronic devices such as laptop computers, cell phones and iPods.

In the most recent burglary, two subjects were seen running from the area. The two subjects were described as white males, late teens to early twenties with light colored hair and wearing white T-shirts.

The Warminster Township Police are asking residents to be vigilant and report any and all suspicious persons and vehicles by immediately calling 9-1-1. Also, when not at home, residents are asked to make sure all windows and doors are locked and alarms are activated. Any resident who discovers a burglary at their home or a neighbor's home is asked to not enter the house. Go to a safe distance and call 9-1-1 immediately.
