Pipe Bomb Suspect in Police Custody

Police discovered three pipe bombs in the Warrington home of John Grzyminski. He now faces charges including possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

A Warrington man wanted since Wednesday for possession of three pipe bombs was arrested Thursday afternoon in Solebury Township.

Police involved in the search for John Grzyminski said he was pulled over in a traffic stop and arrested without incident.

Local and federal investigators searching for Grzyminski after the explosive devices were discovered in a home on the 1800 block of Saddle Drive, on the border of Warrington and Warminster.

Warrington police were called by Grzyminski's mother, with whom he shares the home, at around 4 p.m. Investigators said she came home after several days of being away to discover a pipe bomb like device on the kitchen counter. The bomb squad later discovered another two devices in different parts of the two-story house.

Arriving police evacuated more than a dozen homes in the Palomino Farms community and called for the Philadelphia Police Department bomb squad and the ATF, according to Warrington Police Lt. Joe Knox.

The bombs were rendered harmless by Philadelphia police at the scene using small explosives.

Fox 29 reports that Grzyminski faces charges for possessing or manufacturing weapons of mass destruction; risking a catastrophe; possession of instruments of a crime; and recklessly endangering another person.

I'd love to know (as I'm sure the police would) just exactly what this guy planned to do with these potential weapons. This is one story where I'm extra eager to read the follow-up. As a bit of comic relief to this scary story: If manufacturing weapons of mass destruction; risking a catastrophe; and recklessly endangering another person are all crimes, my ex-wife should have been arrested long ago for cooking!
