Bucks County to Host Meetings on Comprehensive Plan

Meetings will be held at the Quakertown and Levittown libraries.

The Bucks County Commissioners, in conjunction with the county Planning Commission, are conducting an update to the Bucks County Comprehensive Plan.

As part of the update process the county will host public meetings to gather input on the draft vision statements, principles and strategies to be addressed in the plan.

According to a release, the format for each meeting will be a presentation followed by a public participation exercise. The meetings are being held as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 3, 7-9 p.m. — Quakertown Library, 401 West Mill Street
  • Tuesday, May 10, 7-9 p.m. — Levittown Library, 7311 New Falls Road

Attendance by a representative from any of the following groups or organizations is essential to the development of the Plan: community facilities, economic development, education, environmental, health and public safety, historic preservation, housing, farming, flooding, park and recreation, transportation, utilities, water and sewer, waste management.
