Coffee Talk With Warminster Supervisors

Supervisors Dan McPhillips and Frank Feinberg gave Warminster residents an opportunity for face-to-face time to address concerns and issues within the community.

Warminster supervisors Frank Feinberg and Dan McPhillips saw a slow but steady stream of township residents come by the Eagle Diner between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to talk about some local issues.

MxPhillips said a few appreciated the anonymity the morning chat provided to homeowners that did not want to go on the public record.

"One woman does not want to address the board during the public comment session of the meetings because she would have to give her name and address," said McPhillips. "She is worried someone might use that information to break into her home."

Feinberg said that the first morning session already provided an opportunity for the supervisors to address a pressing concern. A resident came by with concerns about the height of the six-foot fence behind the Wawa currently under construction. She felt it was too low, and any activity would bother residents located on Orchard Avenue. The supervisors are looking into the issue and working with Licenses & Inspections to have the fence changed to eight feet.

McPhillips predicts a better turnout next week as word gets out about the opportunity for face-to-face time with elected officials.
