The incumbent district judge started his primary campaign with a breakfast reception at Giuseppe's.

Magisterial District Judge Dan Finello kicked off his primary re-election campaign with a breakfast reception at Giuseppe’s Pizza and Family Restaurant Thursday morning.

“I’ve known Judge Dan for 15 years,” said Mike Granieri, who met Finello at the Knights of Columbus in Warrington. “He’s got a great record and is always fair, especially with helping kids.”

Finello began serving as district judge in 2003 and was re-elected in 2005.  He has lived in Warminster with his wife, Nora, for 35 years. Finello also serves as a board member of the Warminster Rotary Club and is chairman of the Warminster Tricentennial Committee.

During his remarks, he touted his record of helping troubled children by working with area youth groups to reduce truancy problems.

“Parents have told me that I have helped turn their kid around,” he said.

With the municipal primary coming up on May 17, there doesn’t appear to be any serious challengers for Finello’s seat.
