Little Drama for Supervisor Primaries

Daniel McPhillips, incumbent for the Republicans, and Frank Feinberg, incumbent supervisor for the Democrats, both face challengers heading into the November general election.

No contested primary nominations for the two Warminster supervisor seats up for election meant little suspense for Tuesday's primary.

As expected, the Republican ticket will include incumbent Daniel McPhillips and Jason Croley, faced up against the Democratic incumbent Frank Feinberg and Brian Munroe.

Appointed to the board of supervisors last year after Ellen Jarvis resigned, McPhillips is in the midst of his first actual election campaign. He says he has encountered a lot of positive feedback from his first year in office.

"I've been knocking on doors in our neighborhoods and getting a great response," said McPhillips. "I appreciate the support I have received, and I look forward to November's election."

After falling short in his 2012 run for State Rep. Bernie O'Neill's seat in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, Brian Munroe has thrown his hat back into the political ring. He says his work serving Radnor as a police officer for more than 10 years and a police supervisor for six years has given him a unique perspective of how a different township operates. Munroe is eager to bring that experience to Warminster.

"I am very excited about the next several months and going door-to-door to meet the residents," said Munroe. "I am honored to receive a vote from people in my community."

Regardless of the outcome, the majority of the board of supervisors will remain with Republican members Leo Quinn, Tom Panzer (both terms end in 2015) and Mark McKee, whose term ends in 2017.
