Newtown Voters Split Between Obama, Romney

Just 34 votes separated Barack Obama from Mitt Romney in Newtown borough and township voting districts.

President Barack Obama narrowly edged out Mitt Romney in Newtown borough and township voting districts.

Just 34 votes separated Obama from Romney in Newtown borough and township voting districts. 

Obama received 5,567 votes in Newtown Township. Romney received 5,583 votes. In Newtown Borough, Obama received 754 votes to Romney's 704.

There are eight voting districts in Newtown Township and two voting districts in Newtown Borough.

Yes, really, Beth... how are there only 12,600ish votes overall between the borough and township? The lines I saw at my polling place alone were about 20,000 people long. ;o)

It is because they are all rich and only concerned with conservative religious white people who make more than $200,000 a year. Anyone who voted for Romney knows nothing about politics and is stuck in the 1950s.
