Pa. Lottery Now Offers Text Message Alerts

Do you ever forget to check your lottery tickets?

The Pennsylvania Lottery is now providing players with Lottery news and winning numbers directly to their mobile phones through text messages.

“Following our debut in social media and the introduction of our mobile website this past summer, text messages are our newest tool to help on-the-go players stay connected with the Lottery,” said Todd Rucci, Lottery’s executive director.

Subscribers can receive alerts about winning numbers, promotional offers, instant game announcements and jackpot alerts. Players can customize the text alerts they receive based on game and jackpot level. In addition to providing automated winning number and jackpot messages, the text service enables players to be the first to learn of new games and special offers from the Lottery.
